Faculty Focus: Naho Tsutsui

Description:

This diverse violin recital includes a piece in the Baroque style with a twist and irony, a big heavy Romantic sonata, and a fun virtuosic show piece. Schnittke's Suite in Old Style consists of five parodies of old styles arranged from his film score. Franck violin sonata is chosen as a main piece for its opposite writing style from Schnittke. Sarasate's Tarantella concludes the program as a fun upbeat dessert.
