David Alan Gross, saxophone

David Alan Gross, saxophonist, attended the Hartt College of Music in the late sixties. He studied saxophone with Joe Allard, and flute with Metropolitan Opera principal flutist Harry Moscovitz. Mr. Gross rounded out his studies with jazz keyboard harmony teacher John Mehegan, exploring the basics of chord changes and jazz composition. Throughout the last two decades Mr. Gross has maintained a busy private teaching schedule. From his midtown Manhattan studio he has taught all levels of aspiring players from virtually every continent on the globe. Since the early eighties, he has written over fifty published articles and interviews for several world wide publications, including International Musician and Recording World, Windplayer, and Saxophone Journal.
