Bathsheba Marcus Conley, piano

Pianist Bathsheba Marcus Conley has performed throughout the United States in chamber music and solo recitals. Recent appearances have included The Emerson Quartet Chamber Music Festival and a performance on "Soundcheck" on WNYC radio in New York. As a collaborative pianist Ms. Marcus has worked on world premiere performances with the American Chamber Opera Company and the Center for Contemporary Opera. A native New Yorker, Ms. Marcus Conley began studying both piano and violin at a young age. She attended LaGuardia High School of Performing Performing Arts and continued her music studies at New York University receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Music with honors. She continued her studies at the State University of Stony Brook where she received her Masters of Music in 2004 and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts. Ms. Marcus Conley's primary teachers include Edward Edson, Jeanne Golan, Marc Peloquin, and Gilbert Kalish. She has also worked with Leon Fleisher, Ani Kavafian, and Eugene Drucker and Philip Setzer of the Emerson Quartet. In addition to performing, Ms. Marcus Conley enjoys teaching students of all ages and levels. She is on the piano faculty of Bloomingdale School of Music and is former violin faculty of the Grace Church School and coaching staff of the Interschool Orchestras.
