| Michael Cabe is a pianist/composer working
in New York City's thriving jazz community. Originally
from the Seattle area, Cabe earned a double bachelor's degree
from the University of Washington in 2003 and completed his
Master's Degree in Jazz Piano Performance from the Manhattan
School of Music in 2005. He performs solo piano concerts,
leads the Michael Cabe trio, and is a member of the Amy Cervini
Quartet which released the new album "Famous Blue" in February
of 2007. He also curates a music series at Bechstein
Piano Centre. Cabe is also an active educator recently
utilizing Internet 2 technology through the Manhattan School
Distance Learning Department to lead presentations introducing
jazz to students across the country. His presentations
have been documented on both the BBC World and Fox News Channel
programs focusing on Internet 2 and its potential usage. He
continues to work and live in New York City. |
