Wei Gu, piano

Wei J. Gu is a doctoral candidate at the Manhattan School of Music under the guidance of Russian pianist, Arkady Aronov. She is the winner of numerous competitions including the first prize at the California Music Teachers' Association Concerto Competition performing Prokofiev's third piano concerto. She has participated in numerous music festivals that include the prestigious Meranofest in Italy, Tivoli Piano Festival, and the Aspen Music Festivals. She performs in solo and chamber music settings regularly in California's Bay Area, and has also appeared in a variety of venues on the west coast and in New York. Ms. Gu is also an avid music educator, she has been teaching privately for more than a decade in the Bay Area and the New York region, she has also taught at institutions such as the Manhattan School of Music and the Mommoth Music Academy. Her teaching experiences have taken her to serve on the judging committees of various competitions and auditions such as the California Chinese Music Teachers' Associations and the National Piano Guild Auditions.
