Rohin Khemani, tabla & percussion

Born in Ottawa, Canada, Rohin Khemani is a percussionist concentrating on original music and creative improvising. He cites diverse influences ranging from jazz and Indian classical music to rock and world percussion and is a member of several collaborative ensembles involving musicians from around the world.

Rohin holds a bachelor of music degree from Berklee College of Music and a masters from the Manhattan School of Music and has studied with musicians including Max Roach, John Riley, Manu Katche, and David Liebman. He has been pursuing ongoing studies on tabla in Hindustani (North Indian) classical music with Pandit Samir Chatterjee.
