| Bulgarian pianist Tania Tachkova has appeared
as a soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician throughout
the United States and Europe. Her performances have
taken her to numerous venues which include Wiener Saal at
Mozarteum (Salzburg), Centro de Bellas Artes and Museo
del Arte (San Juan), the National Palace of Culture and
the Grand Bulgaria Hall (Sofia), 92nd Street
Y (NYC), the Sarasota Opera House, and Harris
Hall (Aspen). She has been featured as
a soloist with the Orchestra of the State Academy of Music Pantcho
Vladiguerov (Sofia), Shoumen Philharmonic, Razgrad Philharmonic,
and the Stony Brook Symphony Orchestra. In addition,
Ms. Tachkova is a staunch advocate of contemporary music.
A recipient of many awards, grants, and scholarships, her
performances have been broadcast on radio and television
among which are WQXR, Bulgarian National Television,
TV channels Seven Days (Sofia), Monty (Montana),
and SNN (Sarasota). |
