Festival of India - Sitar & Sarod

This two-part concert features two of the finest performers of the sitar and sarod, the two predominant lutes in North Indian music. Sitarist Kushal Das, with his rich and melodious tone and commanding musical expertise, has been acknowledged as a worthy successor to the late maestro Pandit Nikhil Banerjee. Sarod virtuoso K. Sridhar, a descendant of 14 generations of temple musicians in the Carnatic tradition, is a senior disciple of Ustad Zia Mohiuddin Dagar.
