| Pianist Paul Verona has performed extensively
throughout the United States and Europe to wide critical
acclaim. He has appeared as soloist with the Milwaukee Symphony
Orchestra, the Manhattan Contemporary Ensemble, the Brooklyn
Heights Orchestra, the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra and the
Catholic Symphony Orchestra of Wisconsin. He has appeared in
recital in Italy, Austria, Holland and Germany and
in New York, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Steinway Hall,
the Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln
Center, St. Paul’s Chapel/Trinity Church and at Town
Hall. Mr. Verona has been heard on radio and television stations
in Washington DC, Chicago, Milwaukee, Salt Lake City, New York/WQXR,
VARA radio station in Amsterdam and RAI Italian television
and radio. He has received awards from the Viotti-Valsesia
International Piano Competition in Varallo, Italy, the National
Society of Arts and Letters Piano Career
Award and has twice been awarded first prize in the International
Piano Recording Competition. Mr. Verona studied formally with
pianists John Browning, Nadia Boulanger, Sergio Perticaroli,
Josef Raieff, Naomi Zaslav and chamber music with the Fine
Arts Quartet. He holds the “Diploma di Perfezionamento” from
the Conservatorio G.B. Martini in Bologna, Italy, a Masters
Degree from the Juilliard School of Music, and a Doctor of
Musical Arts Degree from the Manhattan School of Music. Mr.
Verona was featured as soloist in the Special Presentation
Distinguished Artist Recital sponsored by Mu Phi Epsilon in
2003 and has performed each year in Mu Phi Epsilon’s
annual All Beethoven concert since 2005. He has
served on the faculty of the Manhattan School of Music, the
Brooklyn College Preparatory Center for the
Performing Arts and the Bloomingdale School of Music and now
maintains a private teaching studio in
New York City. |
