Percussionist Will Richards is an active performer in a wide variety of genres, spanning orchestral performances, jazz, musical theater, contemporary classical music, and more. He was a recipient of a Presidential Scholarship at the Manhattan School of Music, and performed as a timpanist and percussionist with all of MSM’s ensembles. He studied with Christopher Lamb, Duncan Patton, Kyle Zerna, She-e Wu, Rolando Morales-Matos, Michael Folker, James Ross, and Jeremy Smith. Will received the 2018 Interlochen Fine Arts Award, the 2019 Maddy Summer Artist Award, the 2019 Percussive Arts Society/Remo Fred Hoey Memorial Scholarship, performed with the 2022 Texas Festival Orchestra at the Round Top Festival, and won second place at the 2022 Modern Snare Drum Competition.
