American Alchemy

A dance, a sculpture, folk tunes, and a journey take new shapes under the interpretive powers of creative musical minds. This program explores how composers from across the Americas have responded to cultural expressions of diverse origins, transforming influences ranging from tango and popular song to folklore, travel, and visual art into distinctive works for piano.
