Classes For Early Childhood
Piano Discovery
Young musicians can take the next step into instrument playing with Piano Discovery! This class is designed for beginner piano students, providing an introduction to the study of the keyboard in a supportive and engaging group class setting led by resident faculty, Allie Altieri. Grown ups are invited to join the first class for a fun introduction on “How to be a Piano Partner”- no prior music knowledge is necessary!
*This class requires an adult “piano buddy” in attendance.

What you will learn
Students will learn the foundations of music reading, basic rhythms, and how to make music with other players. Each student is asked to be accompanied by an adult “Piano Partner” to help with page turning, reading assistance, hand placement, and general support.
Foundations of Music
Students will be introduced to music skills including singing, note and rhythm reading.
Exciting Repertoire
Using a combination of resources from the Piano Pronto and Piano Adventures book series, students will learn arrangements of folk, popular, and classical songs for the piano.
Interpersonal Skills
Students will learn together, perform with and for each other, and help one another as they navigate musical challenges together in a group learning environment.
