Berg, Schubert, Chopin
Written within roughly 75 years of one another, these works by Alban Berg, Franz Schubert, and Frédéric Chopin explore both lyrical sweetness and turbulent drama. Though singular in style, each composer takes advantage of the piano’s extraordinary range, sonority, and ability to function as an intensely expressive instrumental voice.
