An Early Childhood focused partnership is great for students under the age of 5. Infusing singing, movement, and playing instruments throughout the class, students learn basic musical concepts and get to engage in a fun learning environment.
A Private Lessons partnership is a good option for students age 5-18, and if you are looking to provide a more individualize style of teaching. Depending on your preferred instrument, students learn fundamental skills such as reading music, standard technique, tone production, rhythm, and musicality.
Instrumental Group Classes are a great choice for students of any age, including adults and seniors. This provides an opportunity to have students focus on building solid technique, sound, and musicality on the instrument, as well as develop ensemble skills and social-emotional learning in the classroom. The instrument choice is up to you, and the class can be held either in our classrooms at Bloomingdale, or in your facilities or school classrooms.
In our creative aging programs, we foster creativity, community engagement, and social connection with senior serving institutions. Research has shown the positive connection that music has to brain health, physical rehabilitation, and social connectedness across seniors. Our programs bring these resources to senior centers across NYC, while utilizing the Universal Design structure of SAFE (Skills, Assessment, Feedback, Engage) to integrate open feedback and continued growth in our programming ideals.
Voice and Choral Ensembles are a great choice for students of any age, including adults and seniors. In this ensemble, the students focus on building rhythm, technique, sound, and ensemble blend, which ties directly into social-emotional learning and team building in the classroom. The ensemble can be held either in our classrooms at Bloomingdale, or in your facilities or school classrooms.
If you are looking for a way to introduce instruments and different genres of music to your community, or just want to have excellent live music for your next event, we would love to join you! Our incredible faculty consists of highly-trained musicians and educators who create excellent programs and performances for organizations across NYC throughout the year.
