Breath, Voice, and Memory
This program brings together works for clarinet, bassoon, and piano spanning the nineteenth through twenty-first centuries, highlighting the expressive possibilities of chamber music across styles and eras. From Poulenc’s conversational wit and Lutosławski’s folk-inspired dances to the lyricism of Glinka, introspection of Rachmaninoff, and contemporary energy of James Cohen, each work reveals a distinct musical voice shaped by tradition, imagination, and memory.
