Margalit works at the intersection between music education, program development, and community engagement. She leads mission-driven programming at Bloomingdale, and currently directs A4TY: Album for the Young Student Composing Project – which brings students from across the school together to compose and perform each other’s new pieces in concert – along with Artsforce: Teen Leadership Program –where students develop deeper agency and choice in their learning through hands on workshops, student-led performance projects, teen practice buddies, and special arts admin internships. Her love of Bloomingdale runs deep, having had her first cello lessons at the school herself at age 8 and remaining a dedicated member of its cello faculty today!
