Equally at home in a variety of styles from the traditional to the avant-garde, trumpeter Eli Asher  maintains an active performing and teaching career in New York City, as well as abroad, most recently in Austria at Ulrichsberg’ Kaleidophon festival and at Vienna’s Porgy & Bess.  Currently he can be heard with Patrick Brennan’s Transparency Kestra, Max Kutner’s High Flavors, Jump Off This Bridge, (formerly “Hamilton Heights Improvisors Collective”) as well as on over 25 recordings. A graduate of Princeton University and The Eastman School of Music, Eli serves on the faculty of the Harlem School of the Arts and the Bloomingdale School of Music.
