Classes For Teens
Latin Jazz Ensemble
This class/ensemble is an opportunity for teens and adults ages 13 and up to learn about rich rhythms from the Caribbean, jazz & latin repertoire and basic improvisational approach on different instruments.
Ideal for students with at least 2 years of experience in their instrument, and who are able to read basic music notation. No improv skills or harmony knowledge needed.

What you will learn
Students will gain knowledge about different genres such as Jazz, Brazilian and Cuban music just to name a few. They will also learn how start approaching musically to these different styles and even solo in the style. Students should be able to read basic music notation, including basic chord changes.

Performance Opportunities
The Latin Jazz Ensemble will have the opportunity to perform for family and friends at least once a semester.
