What you will learn
Students will build the foundational skills of jazz singing — steady rhythm, pitch matching, active listening, and simple improvisation — while learning to blend their voices in a small ensemble and discovering the fun of scatting and jazz standards written for young voices.
JAZZ VOCAL FOUNDATIONS
Build pitch matching, breath support, rhythm, and healthy singing technique through playful jazz-based vocal exercises.
GROUP SINGING & CALL-AND-RESPONSE
Learn to listen, blend, and answer each other's voices — the same call-and-response tradition at the heart of jazz singing.
Performance & Improvisation
These jazz singing classes for kids end each semester with a chance to perform simple melodic improvisation and favorite jazz standards written for young voices, giving students real confidence on stage.
