What you will learn
Participants will learn from Bloomingdale’s distinguished faculty, experts in classical, jazz, rock, and Latin American music. Through interactive workshops, masterclasses, and ensemble playing, students will explore diverse repertoire and techniques. The day concludes with an open-mic style performance and a community mixer.
MASTERCLASSES
Each participant will take part in a personalized masterclass with a member of the faculty, an invaluable experience that combines live instruction and coaching with the social element of performance and group discussion.
ENSEMBLES
Each participant will have the opportunity to rehearse and perform in a guitar ensemble along with their peers.
INTERACTIVE WORKSHOPS
Faculty will lead workshops exploring diverse musical genres, playing techniques, and performance practice where participants will participate in discussion and practical application of musical concepts on their instruments.
GUIDED PRACTICE
Similar to private lessons, designated practice time will allow participants to receive one-on-one coaching from faculty members, providing feedback on both performance technique and daily practice tips.
We offer Need-based financial assistance
Our goal is to make music education accessible and to remove the financial barrier that may prevent students from participating. Therefore, we offer need-based financial aid to as many students as possible.
