During their weekly classes, students will learn proper posture, bow hold, the parts of the instrument, note reading basics and explore simple repertoire with their peers.
Performance Opportunities
Whether in the classroom or on Bloomingdale's stage, all students will have the opportunity to perform towards the end of the semester
Follow the leader!
Students will learn what basic ensemble playing skills are when their faculty member serves as an in-class conductor for group pieces.
Musicianship Basics
Students will learn how to read staff foundations and basic note reading over the semester; how to keep a steady beat and play along with a metronome and how to be respectful of your fellow musicians.
