Students in Sight Singing will do just that – sing by sight! Students will be able to build their music reading abilities in a group class setting led by Bloomingdale’s longest standing faculty member.*

What you will learn

Following an introduction including basic musical terminology, meter, and scales in major and minor keys, the class will concentrate on reading of melodies with a focus on tonality, intervals and rhythm with some use of melodic and rhythmic dictation. The course will be tailored to the needs and experience of the students and will teach skills in the fixed Do solfège system.
