Bowling with Mozart

Kegelstatt is German for a nine-pin-bowling alley. The sublime trio Mozart composed for viola, clarinet and piano bears this title because it is believed that Mozart conceived it while playing rounds of bowling. This concert will feature the Kegelstatt Trio along with masterpieces by Mozart for solo piano.

Program:

  • Rondo in A minor, K. 511 — Mozart

  • Sonata in B-flat, K. 570 — Mozart

  • Trio for Piano, Clarinet and Viola “Kegelstatt,” K. 498 — Mozart

Featuring:

Magdalena Garandza, clarinet
Gloria Lam, viola
Roberto Hidalgo, piano
