WHY MUSIC IN EARLY CHILDHOOD?

Early childhood music classes are designed to be educational and fun for students and parents. Aimed at students who are 1 to 5-years-old, classes are progressive and gradually add a variety of musical concepts. Studying music early on introduces kids to important fundamentals, setting the tone for their future enjoyment and appreciation of music. This may include instrument study, voice study, or music theory.

CAN MY CHILD TRY A CLASS?

Yes, absolutely! We know trying new activities can be challenging, that is why Bloomingdale School of Music offers a no-commitment free trial for students and parents of our early childhood classes during the first week of each semester. A one time paid trial lesson may be possible during the semester depending on class availability and teacher approval. Please reach out to Patti Onorato, Early Childhood Coordinator by email at ponorato@bsmny.org to schedule a trial class.
